FishHere Privacy Policy

Last updated October 11, 2026

Short version: FishHere has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Your photos never leave your phone. We use your location only to look up the fish and weather where you're fishing, and we don't keep it.

Photos

When you take or pick a photo, FishHere looks at it on your phone to read where it was taken and to guess the kind of water. The photo itself is never uploaded, shared, or saved by FishHere.

Location

FishHere uses the location saved in your photo, or your phone's current location if the photo doesn't have one. To show your results, the app sends those map coordinates (and nothing else about you) to these services:

These requests aren't tied to your name or an account. Like any website your phone talks to, these services can see your phone's internet address; FishHere doesn't send them anything else. FishHere doesn't store your location, and doesn't keep a history of where you've fished.

What we don't do

Kids

FishHere was built for an 11-year-old and is meant for all ages. It doesn't ask for or collect a name, email, age, or any other personal information from anyone, including children.

Permissions

FishHere asks for Camera access so you can photograph the water, and Location access for photos without a saved location. You can turn either off at any time in the iPhone Settings app.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
